CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF THE LUBAVITCHER REBBE SATURDAY LUNCH @ THE CJL with renowned international speaker RABBI FAIVISH VOGEL
Join us at the CJL for our Saturday Service & Shabbat Lunch. Saturday 4 February falls on the 10th day of Shevat which is a most significant date on the Chassidic calendar. It is the anniversary of passing of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, of righteous memory. It is also the day when, in 1951, the seventh Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory, formally accepted the leadership of Chabad-Lubavitch with a historic discourse and address at a gathering marking the first anniversary of his predecessor’s passing.
The Rebbe whose life spanned nearly the whole of the 20th century was the foremost religious leader in the world. His influence on the thousands of institutions he established continues to flourish in our times.
A master in every area of Jewish knowledge and thought he was recognised as the founder of the outreach movement. His optimism and belief in the potential of all Jews transformed large swathes of Jewish society globally.
What was his secret? How can we drink from his spirit and find a way forward for ourselves our communities and our future. Join us for a very unique Shabbat
Rabbi Faivish Vogel is one of the first emissaries sent to the UK in 1960, by the late Lubavitcher Rebbe to forward his mission in seeking out each and every Jew with love. He is a sought after Lecturer and educator worldwide, he is currently chairman of the Centre for Jewish Life.
